Modern text and image representations are often matrix-valued, with rows corresponding to tokens, patches, or other local feature vectors. Predictive information is often sparse but sample-specific, making classical sparse regression methods with a common support poorly suited to this heterogeneity.

Abstract With growing demand for sustainable protein sources, edible insects have gained attention for their high nutritional value and low environmental impact. However, in rearing systems that use agricultural by-products and organic waste as feed, pesticide residues may enter insects and derived products through the feed chain, posing potential food safety risks.
Low-Level Human Epididymis Protein 4 in Seminal Plasma Is an Independent Risk Factor for Poor Semen Liquefaction: A Case Control Study
1 Introduction Epidemiological studies indicate that infertility affects about 15% of couples worldwide after 12 months of unprotected intercourse [1]. In China alone, up to 50 million people are affected by infertility, 30%–40% of which involve male factors, while 20% are purely male-related [2]. Poor semen liquefaction is a significant cause of male infertility, affecting 12%–32% of men [3].

Low early-pregnancy serum lipoprotein(a) as an independent associated factor for gestational diabetes mellitus: a retrospective cohort study
Abstract Background: Dyslipidemia plays a significant role in the pathogenesis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). However, the association between lipoprotein(a) (Lp(a)), a known predictor of cardiovascular disease, and GDM remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the association between serum Lp(a) levels within the first 20 weeks of gestation and the subsequent risk of developing GDM.

Solid–electrolyte interphases (SEIs) are essential for stabilizing metal anodes in aqueous zinc (Zn) batteries (AZBs), yet their formation remains intrinsically uncontrolled, leaving the interphase vulnerable to dissolution and water-driven parasitic reactions. Herein, we report an electron-induced molecular programming strategy that uses only 1 mM of 4-bromobenzenediazonium tetrafluoroborate (BDTF) to in situ construct a Zn2+-favored molecular lock on the ZnF2-rich SEI surface.
Electron-Induced Molecular Programming Drives Interfacial Chemistry for Ah-Level Zinc Batteries

Deformation mechanisms of open-pit high-steep slopes controlled by a fault: An integrated remote sensing, field investigation and numerical simulation study
1. Introduction Fault zones represent one of the most critical geological factors controlling the stability of rock slopes in open-pit mining. During the transition from surface to underground extraction, slopes are subjected to complex coupling effects, including mining-induced unloading, blasting vibrations, and weathering. When such perturbations interact with pre-existing fault structures, the potential for large-scale landslides and collapses increases significantly [1-3].

Numerical simulation study on safety thickness of boundary pillar and mining-induced stability during open-pit to underground transition
1. Introduction When ore bodies occur near the surface, open-pit mining is generally employed. As mining reaches deeper levels, the stability of formed deep concave open-pit slopes becomes challenging to guarantee. To achieve sustainable ore extraction, the transition from open-pit to underground mining can be adopted. This hybrid mining method typically involves initial open-pit exploitation in upper sections followed by underground mining in lower sections [1-3].
