Multiregional single cell profiling reveals LGALS9 and CD44 mediated niche remodeling crosstalk in metastatic breast cancer
Abstract The transition from intraductal to invasive Breast cancer (BC) is driven by complex interactions within the tumor microenvironment (TME). Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs), a key stromal component, critically influence extracellular matrix remodeling, immune modulation, and metastatic dissemination. However, the spatially resolved cellular mechanisms through which malignant epithelial subpopulations reprogram fibroblasts to promote metastasis remain incompletely understood.
Ceruloplasmin deficiency promotes osteoclast cuproptosis-like cell death and is associated with higher bone mass in OVX mice with coordinated activation of AMPK/p53 signaling
Abstract Osteoclast bone resorption consumes a large amount of energy, and its energy metabolism disorder is an important pathogenesis of bone metabolism diseases such as osteoporosis. Excessive copper ions interfere with the energy metabolism of the mitochondrial tricarboxylic acid cycle, leading to cuproptosis—a recently identified form of regulated cell death. Ceruloplasmin (CP), a major copper-binding protein, is associated with osteoporosis.
Exopeptidase-assisted nanopore peptide sequence identification
Abstract Despite substantial progress in nanopore sensing, residue-by-residue peptide sequencing remains a major challenge. Herein, we present EANPSeq, an exopeptidase-assisted nanopore peptide identification strategy based on peptide libraries to decode the peptide sequence.

Low-temperature polyethylene terephthalate upcycling by phenolic ionic liquids
Abstract Upcycling end-of-life polyethylene terephthalate (PET) to valuable chemicals is crucial for achieving circular economy. However, in practice it faces many challenges, such as harsh operation conditions and the generation of lower-quality products needing down-processing. Here we develop a phenolic ionic liquids-mediated process that is capable of complete PET conversion into valuable monomers at 70 °C in the presence of various nucleophiles.

Single-stranded DNA in the bone microenvironment promotes prostate cancer bone metastasis via the ITGA6-FAK pathway
Abstract Bone metastases represent a critical phenotype of prostate cancer progression, driven by factors within the bone microenvironment. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying this progression remain poorly understood. In this study, we observed a significant accumulation of single-stranded DNA within the metastatic bone microenvironment of PCa patients. Through cell-SELEX methodology, we identified a PCa target-specific ssDNA, EHBP1.

Gut microbiota-derived lactate is associated with disrupted cardiac circadian rhythms in alcoholic heart disease
Abstract Alcoholic Heart Disease (AHD) involves gut microbiota dysbiosis, metabolic disturbances, and circadian disruption, yet their interconnections remain unclear. Using a murine AHD model, we integrated echocardiography, metabolomics, cardiac transcriptomics, and 16S rRNA sequencing to investigate alcohol-induced pathology. It evaluated dietary fiber and acetate interventions for their potential to restore gut microbiota balance, lactate homeostasis, and circadian gene expression.
Percutaneous nephrostomy guidance by a convolutional-neural-network-based optical coherence tomography endoscope - Communications Engineering
Abstract Percutaneous nephrostomy is widely used in kidney access surgeries. Despite its prevalence in urological interventions, it presents two operational challenges: 1) precise needle placement into the renal pelvis; and 2) avoiding hemorrhage from blood vessel rupture. In this study, we developed an endoscopic optical coherence tomography probe for needle navigation. We conducted experiments on thirty-one human kidneys for two aspects: 1) tissue recognition, and 2) blood vessel detection.

Abstract Photodetector technologies based on emerging semiconductors—for example, organic semiconductors, halide perovskites, quantum dots, low-dimensional semiconductors and metal oxides—hold considerable promise for next-generation optoelectronics. However, the breadth and multidisciplinarity of this field, alongside its diverse range of applications, have resulted in inconsistent performance characterization and reporting practices, hindering the effective benchmarking of these technologies.

Specific Marker Gene Analysis for Primary Central Nervous System Lymphoma Based on Methylation Difference and Development of Detection Primers
1 Introduction Central nervous system (CNS) damage can result from a variety of causes, among which primary CNS lymphoma (PCNSL) is an extratodular non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the brain, spine, cerebrospinal fluid, or vitreoretinal space (Grommes and DeAngelis 2017; Grommes 2020). PCNSL is a rare cancer with low incidence; however, its risk increases with age (Mendez et al. 2018; Lv et al. 2022).

A Computational Framework for Automated Puncture Trajectory Planning in Hemorrhagic Stroke Surgery
1 INTRODUCTION Hemorrhagic stroke accounts for 15%–20% of stroke cases but contributes to over 40% of stroke-related deaths (Feigin et al. 2017). Minimally invasive puncture surgery has become the gold standard for hematoma evacuation due to its reduced tissue damage (Walia et al. 2021). However, two critical challenges persist. Anatomical complexity: The optimal trajectory must maximize hematoma coverage while avoiding eloquent areas (e.g., internal capsule, ventricles) (Vakharia and Duncan 2020).
