Long hours and no money, and a responsibility to uncover stories that are important to people.

Why did you become a journalist?
I became a journalist to pursue a passion. As well as paying the small bills I hope that my work is of interest to people.

Story on child protection in Ireland.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Learn shortcode, engage as much as possible in social media but most importantly write something every day.
