BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham Metro News can confirm that actor and WWE legend John Cena was in Bellingham this week following multiple sightings around the city and photos submitted directly to our newsroom. Heather Dawn Kirkey Lawler submitted several photos to BMN showing Cena outside Liminal Cafe at 1312 F Street, located at the Lighthouse Mission’s New Life Center.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Emergency crews are responding to an expanded traffic collision at the roundabout of Mount Baker Highway and East Smith Road Friday evening. The incident was reported at approximately 7:46 p.m. Sept. 18, according to PulsePoint. Multiple Whatcom County Fire and EMS units were dispatched, with several engines and other emergency vehicles responding to the scene.

City permit BLD2026-0678 identifies the project as a tenant improvement for a new Planet Fitness at 1125 E. Sunset Drive, Suite 125, the former JOANN Fabric and Crafts location.
