LANSING, Mich. (News 10) - Caleb Bond just recently concluded his college golf career at Michigan State but the Williamston High School graduate has plenty on his golf plate in front of him. That includes Bond trying to successfully defend the Michigan Amateur championship he won last summer. This year’s event is near home at Eagle Eye in East Lansing.

K.J. Torbert named Michigan’s Mr. Basketball winner for 2025-26

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) — K.J. Torbert of East Lansing High School has been named the 2025-26 Hal Schram Mr. Basketball award winner for the state of Michigan. Torbert, who has committed to Bowling Green State University, powered East Lansing to a state championship last season. Torbert received the award from the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan, which annually honors the state’s top senior boys basketball player.
