To be a good communicator, you have to be more than a good communicator. Organizations need communicators who know how a business works…how it makes money, the industry pressures it faces, operational strengths and weaknesses, and so forth…in addition to their communications expertise. It’s a lesson I learned in 20-plus years of in-house corporate communications positions, and it’s the Number One piece of career advice I give to future communications leaders.
In law school, you’re presented with one path: summer associate, law school graduation, law firm job, then in-house/government/partner or whatever the brass ring is for you. If you get knocked off that path, you’re screwed. If you just took the bar exam last week and you don’t have a job waiting for you, it’s over. Law school was clearly a waste of time and money. But that’s ridiculous.
The running time for action thriller Red Sparrow, the new movie starring Jennifer Lawrence, has been unveiled. The film, which is released into cinemas on March 2nd, will run to 139 minutes, or just under two hours and 20 minutes. The movie is an adaptation of Jason Matthews' best-selling novel, which follows Dominika Egorov, former prima ballerina turned state intelligence officer.
