Sacramento veteran, salesman and community figure Charlie Lee Harris died Aug. 28 at 85. Memorial services are set for Oct. 1 and 2. Charlie Lee Harris’ mother taught him to stand up for himself and what was right, but given the times they were in, she also warned him to “watch his mouth,” as it would likely get him in trouble one day. He acknowledged that it did, but it also got him out of just as much. Harris, a local veteran and longtime salesman, passed away Aug. 28 at the age of 85.
