@abgutman @ZachWritesStuff Yes! This part of the piece showed such a tremendous misunderstanding of what addiction is and how it works.
@TSBurkhardt @ZachWritesStuff They reduce mortality rates by more than half. That's hugely effective!
@abgutman @ZachWritesStuff Yes. This aspect is one of the most annoying things to me.
@ZachWritesStuff There's a bunch of mostly small stuff. But the one that most annoyed me was his description of how methadone and buprenorphine work, which suggested that they're only used for detox and not very effective. There's also a bizarre claim that disability benefits caused the crisis.
I think pretty much everyone should have their guns taken away, but this is ridiculous.

For one, it's diminishing the value of breaking news and emphasizing good research, analysis and context.
