ABOVE: JOHN WATERS PERFORMING THIS FILTHY WORLD AT CITY WINERY The notorious filmmaker John Waters breezed into New York City recently for a two-night performance at the City Winery in Tribeca and returns tomorrow, July 20, to perform his one-man show, This Filthy World, at the Ice Palace in Cherry Grove in Fire Island (it's part of "The Icon Series" designed by gay party promoter Daniel Nardicio, which includes an assortment of other showbiz celebrities).

He’ll be on tour through July, stopping off in New York City to perform tonight at Irving Plaza. Although he was in town last fall for some DJ gigs, it had been eight years since he’d last visited the city and 15 years since he’s done a show here.
