ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Rochester-raised singer Danielle Ponder is entering a new chapter in her music career with a new record label, a new song and a hometown performance tied to Juneteenth. Ponder has signed with Dead Oceans in partnership with Phoebe Bridgers. The label is home to artists including Mitski, Japanese Breakfast, Ethel Cain and Bridgers herself. To mark the announcement, Ponder released “Power,” her first new music since 2023.
