Gulf of Mexico — As was discussed earlier, Milton has weakened a little with winds now at 165 mph. Some slow weakening will likely continue with landfall Wednesday evening into Thursday morning as still a major CAT3 hurricane. Landfall will likely be near or just south of Tampa Bay.

Beryl is getting better defined on satellite this morning and we'll know more about its intensity shortly as Air Force recon is approaching the center. Movement is to the northwest at about 12 mph with a gradual turn to the north before landfall near Port Lavaca between around 1-3 a.m. Monday. A turn to the north-northeast will move the center to near College Station by 1 p.m. Monday and to near Little Rock by 1 p.m. Tuesday.
