The station is owned by the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which also operates Port Arthur-licensed Dabl affiliate KBTV-TV (channel 4) under joint sales and shared services agreements (JSA/SSA) with owner Deerfield Media. The two stations share studios at the I-10/US 69 (Eastex Freeway) interchange in Beaumont; KFDM's transmitter is located in Vidor, Texas. HUNT VALLEY, Md. (TNND) — President Donald Trump said Thursday that gas prices are “not very high,” although the data shows otherwise. A reporter had asked him before he left the White House how much longer Americans would pay more at the pump. “Well, they’re not very high,” Trump replied. “If you look at what they were supposed to be in order to get rid of a nuclear weapon with the danger that entails.” The national average gas price is $4.08, according to AAA.

Supreme Court backs oil firms, sends Louisiana coastal damage suits to federal court
WASHINGTON (TNND) — The Supreme Court ruled Friday in favor of oil and gas companies in a major case tied to coastal damage in Louisiana, giving the companies another chance to fight the lawsuits in federal court. In a unanimous decision, the high court sided with oil companies, including Chevron, in the case by Plaquemines and Cameron parishes. This was just one of 42 lawsuits filed over a decade ago by Louisiana coastal parishes and the states attorney general.
Traffic stop turns into meth bust
JASPER COUNTY — A man who was driving with an invalid license found himself in bigger trouble during a traffic stop in Jasper County. Sheriff Chuck Havard says shortly after 7:30 this morning, Deputy Brian Gray stopped a driver in the 2100 block of North Wheeler in Jasper He arrested Alexander Josef Thornton, 42, of Jasper, for Driving While License Invalid with Previous Convictions (Misdemeanor B). The deputy also discovered methamphetamine.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — The Pennsylvania man at the center of a stolen human remains case in Pennsylvania is facing a new burglary charge out of Lancaster County as the case continues. Jonathan Gerlach, a 34-year-old from Ephrata, and his lawyer were present at a preliminary hearing in Delaware County Friday morning but ultimately waived the hearing, according to court documents.
