Author, editor, historian, former CEO of Pacifica Radio. In the 80s he worked with Bernie Sanders, and chronicled Vermont’s evolution in The People's Republic: Vermont and the Sanders Revolution (1989). He’s been writing for more than 50 years.

His novels include Spirits of Desire (2004) and Dons of Time (2013). He also worked as a writer and adviser on Freedom and Unity: The Vermont Movie. His recent non-fiction includes Fake News: Journalism in the Age of Deceptions (2018), Planet Pacifica …
