A 25-year-old female patient presented with a progressively enlarging left-sided facial mass. She first noticed a lesion in the left maxillary region 8 years ago. Over the following year, the mass grew rapidly, eventually involving the entire left maxilla and extending to the left zygomatic bone. A previous biopsy of the maxillary lesion suggested a diagnosis of ameloblastoma (Figure 1A).

Abstract Background: Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is a rare and aggressive malignancy of the salivary glands, most commonly originating in the parotid gland and less frequently in the submandibular gland.
