Hamza Kyeyune is a Communications Specialist, a seasoned broadcast and print journalist, with several hands-on media trainings with AA, Reuters, Voice of America, BBC, World Federation of Science Journalists, Uganda Media Development Foundation, Africa Centre for Media Excellency, Makerere University Institute of Public Health among others, and a CDC fellow. His media career spans for a period of eight years during which he has worked for radio, print and online media. He has dedicated special focus on environment and health reporting with special interests in HIV prevention among key populations at higher risk of HIV, sexual and reproductive health, and behavior change communication programs especially among the adolescents. He has received awards for his extraordinary contribution and unwavering commitment to the HIV and AIDS response in Uganda from the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Uganda, Organization of African First Ladies against HIV and AIDS (OAFLA), among others and a UNESCO awarded ToT for Eastern and Southern Africa Region on Comprehensive Sexuality Education for Reducing Sexual Risk Behaviors among young people.
He has a wider understanding of the current debates at the global level, the decision-making processes in relevant inter- governmental organizations like the United Nations
