Career Choice Motivation and Job Satisfaction Among Chinese Geriatric Social Workers: The Serial Mediation Model of Job Autonomy and Collective Psychological Ownership
ABSTRACT Using data from the China Social Work Longitudinal Study (N = 2,254), this study examined associations between career choice motivation and job satisfaction among Chinese geriatric social workers. Internal motivation was positively associated with job satisfaction, whereas external motivation was negatively associated with it. Job autonomy and collective psychological ownership independently mediated these associations and also formed a serial mediation pathway.

Reverse Tesla valve modulated efficient water evaporation and cooling
Abstract Water evaporation, a physical process effectively driving natural hydrological cycles, has long suffered from rate limitations in industrial applications. Particularly in scenarios such as solar steam generation and evaporation cooling, the evaporation rate of conventional evaporators struggles to meet the practical request, due to the unresolved boundary layer resistance at the liquid-air interface.

PEGylated Cu-doped WS 2 hybrid nanosheets for targeted multimodal cancer therapy
Abstract The existing clinical approaches for breast cancer treatment still face many major issues, including poor therapeutic efficacy and high side effects. To address these challenges, we developed a folic acid-functionalized PEGylated WS2 nanosheet system loaded with copper atoms and the chemotherapeutic agent doxorubicin (so-called Cu@WS2-PEG-FA/DOX) for enhanced multimodal cancer therapy. The folic acid was used as a targeting ligand by binding to folate receptors on tumor cells.

A Quasi‐Solid Ionic Liquid‐Polymer Hybrid Electrolyte for Shuttle‐Free and Dendrite‐Free Aqueous Zinc─Bromine Batteries
1 Introduction Recently, aqueous zinc batteries (AZBs) have emerged as promising candidates in the energy storage field due to their intrinsic safety, low cost, high energy and power densities, and admirable electrochemical performance [1-4]. Among alternative AZBs, static Zn─Br batteries, working with the reversible conversion between Br0 and Br−, stand out owing to the high theoretical capacity (355 mAh g−1, based on the mass of Br) and high redox potential (∼1.84 V vs. Zn/Zn2+) [5-8].

NMNAT1 Activates Autophagy to Delay D‐Galactose‐Induced Aging in Cochlear Hair Cells
1 Introduction With an aging population, the incidence of age-related hearing loss (ARHL) continues to increase (Dzau and Balatbat 2018). Among these, age-related hearing loss (ARHL) is the most prevalent sensory disturbance affecting the aged. Clinically, ARHL typically presents as bilateral symmetrical hearing loss that begins at high sound frequencies and gradually progresses to medium and low frequencies (Davalli et al. 2016).

Aqueous batteries (ABs) are considered emerging candidates for grid-scale energy storage due to their inherent safety, cost-effectiveness, and environmental compatibility. In recent years, major advances have been made in ABs toward improving their energy density and cycling stability, and progressing their prospects for real application. However, self-discharge, a critical parameter for practical applications, remains largely underexplored.

Electroactive ferrocene/ferrocenium redox coupling for shuttle-free aqueous zinc–iodine pouch cells - Nature Chemistry
Abstract Aqueous zinc–iodine batteries are attractive for grid-scale energy storage because of their high safety and rate capability. However, conventional hosts for iodine cathodes are often electrochemically inactive and show weak interaction with polyiodides, which not only compromises the battery energy density, but also fails to eliminate shuttle effects.

ABSTRACT To fully exploit the potential of drinking water treatment residue (DWTR) for mitigating excessive nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P) discharges responsible for water eutrophication, a straightforward precipitation process was used to produce Mg(OH)2-modified drinking water treatment residue (Mg-DWTR). The resulting material can simultaneously remove N and P and exhibit high adsorption capacity.
Effects of Wildlife Feces on Soil Properties and Microbiota in the Recovery Processes of Damaged Natural Ecosystem

Highly selective aldehyde coupling on the heterointerface of molybdenum selenide and graphdiyne
Abstract The highly negative reduction potential prevents the selective coupling of two aldehydes to construct C─C bonds and hinders the formation of ketyl radicals. However, this important comprehensive issue remains unsolved. Here, we report the efficient activation of aldehydes by the in situ growth of a molybdenum selenide-graphdiyne heterointerface structure, allowing an aldehyde molecule to be selectively coupled with another aldehyde at room temperature and ambient pressure.
Spin excitations and flat electronic bands in a Cr-based kagome superconductor - Nature Communications
|
Abstract In the quest for topology- and correlation-driven quantum states, kagome lattice materials have garnered significant interest for their band structures, featuring flat bands (FBs) from the quantum destructive interference of the electronic wavefunction. Tuning an FB to the chemical potential could induce electronic instabilities and emergent orders.
