Chronic low-grade inflammation drives skeletal aging and neurocognitive decline: inflammaging as a central hub coupling bone–brain aging
Abstract Background: Global population aging has driven a marked rise in the co-prevalence of osteoporosis and cognitive impairment, and a bidirectional epidemiological association between the two conditions is now supported by multiple meta-analyses. The shared biological mechanisms underlying this comorbidity, however, remain incompletely defined, and the two disorders continue to be managed within largely separate clinical disciplines.
Hadamard random forest for reconstructing real valued pure quantum states
Abstract Many potential quantum computing applications, such as linear system solvers, require efficient readout to preserve the algorithmic speedup, but only involve real amplitudes. Conventional tomography methods demand exponential resources for general complex-valued states. We introduce a readout method for real-valued pure quantum states based on amplitude superposition with Hadamard operations and a random forest algorithm for sign determination.

NAMPT inhibition induces ferroptosis via mitochondrial metabolic reprogramming to enhance tumour immunogenicity in glioblastoma
Abstract Background: Ferroptosis has recently been recognised as an immunogenic form of regulated cell death. Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT), a key enzyme in the NAD+ salvage pathway, is highly expressed in glioblastoma and represents a promising metabolic target. Methods: We investigated the effects of the NAMPT inhibitor GMX1778 on ferroptosis and tumour immunogenicity in glioblastoma cells.

Combined Effects of Dilution Gases with Polyoxymethylene Dimethyl Ether (PODE3) on Physicochemical Properties for Soot Particles in Isooctane Inverse Diffusion Flames
Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! The present study explores the combined effects of diluents (N2, He, and CO2) with polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether 3 (PODE3) addition on soot formation in isooctane inverse diffusion flames to optimize combustion processes. The results indicated that replacing N2 with He diluent in isooctane caused an increase in flame height, temperature, and the mean KL factor (a two-color pyrometry parameter that quantifies soot concentration in flames).
Greater centralization, increased marketization? Evidence from China’s primary urban land market
Introduction Unlike other property markets, the development and maintenance of the land market involve economic, political, social, and cultural considerations (Deininger and Feder, 2001). Land markets play a crucial role in modern economic development, particularly in urbanization and urban economic growth. Primary market failures relevant to urbanization policies are those associated with land markets (Lall et al., 2009).

Polyoxymethylene Dimethyl Ether (PODE3) Addition in Isooctane Inverse Diffusion Flames: Synergistic Effects on Soot Formation
ABSTRACT Polyoxymethylene dimethyl ether 3 (PODE3) is a polymerized ether with multiple C-O-C chains, distinguished by higher oxygen and less carbon content, making it an eco-friendly and cost-effective alternative fuel. This study explores the synergistic effects of varying PODE3 amounts on soot characteristics in isooctane inverse diffusion flames, utilizing optical diagnostics and sampling techniques.
Dynamic Ionic Environment Modulation for Precise Electrosynthesis of Heterostructured Bimetallic Nanoparticles
1 Introduction Here, we report an electrosynthesis method for creating heterostructured bimetallic nanoparticles with precise, independent control over elemental distribution within each nanostructure. By dynamically altering the ionic environment in a dual-channel nanopipette in SECCM, core–shell nanoparticles with independent control over deposition order and thickness are achieved.

In-situ construction of vanadium dioxide and MXene heterostructure towards high-capacity ammonium ion storage
In-situ construction of vanadium dioxide and MXene heterostructure towards high-capacity ammonium ion storage A VO2@V2C (VO@VCM) anode material is proposed for aqueous ammonium ion batteries (AmIBs) by one-step in-situ oxidation of 2D V2C MXene. The VO@VCM delivers a high capacity of 226 mAh g-1, super rate performance, and long cycling stability due to the synergistic effect of the high conductive MXene and high active VO2. Integrated terahertz topological valley-locked power divider with arbitrary power ratios
Integrated power dividers (PDs) are essential in terahertz (THz) communication and radar systems, but miniaturization often leads to performance degradation due to fabrication inaccuracies and sharp bends. Topological photonics offers a solution to these issues, yet creating THz power dividers with arbitrary splitting ratios remains challenging. We present a design methodology for on-chip topological THz power dividers with customizable splitting ratios using valley-locked photonic crystals.
Error mitigated metasurface-based randomized measurement schemes

In this paper, we design an innovative approach leveraging metasurfaces to perform randomized measurements on photonic qubits, together with error mitigation techniques that suppress realistic metasurface measurement noise.
Resistive Pulse Analysis of Chiral Amino Acids Utilizing Metal-Amino Acid Crystallization Differences
Resistive Pulse Analysis of Chiral Amino Acids Utilizing Metal-Amino Acid Crystallization Differences Here, we report a proof-of-concept resistive pulse method for analyzing chiral amino acids utilizing metal-amino acid crystallization differences. This method involves introducing an amino acid sample solution into a micropipette through a pressure-driven flow. The sample then mixes with a metal ion solution inside the pipette, forming metal-amino acid crystals.

Design and Analysis of an Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot Based on Multimodal Control
1. Introduction The goal of rehabilitation is to improve deficits in motor control in patients through strengthening exercises for the affected limb. Traditional rehabilitation therapy relies on one-on-one training with a rehabilitator focusing on the relearning of lost or weakened functional movements [1], which can increase staff costs and is susceptible to human factors.

Generation of multiple solitons with controllable separation assisted by PM fiber
Abstract A method of generating multiple solitons with controllable separation is proposed by injecting the dissipative soliton (DS) and conventional soliton (CS) into the polarization-maintaining fiber (PMF), respectively. The soliton separation can be adjusted subjectively from 12 to 28 ps, corresponding to PMF lengths from 10 to 24 m. Multiple solitons consisting of three, four, five, and six solitons can be observed at pump powers of 480, 550, 610, and 700 mW.
