Temperature-stable high- κ oxides for miniaturized capacitors
Abstract The miniaturization of capacitive components in advanced electronics requires dielectric materials that simultaneously have a high permittivity, low loss tangent and near-zero temperature coefficient of capacitance. However, improving one property typically negatively affects the others, and the design of new dielectrics is challenging due to the vast compositional space that could be searched.
Association between trajectory patterns of urea-to-creatinine ratio within 7 days after admission and prognosis in patients with sepsis
Abstract Sepsis is a life-threatening syndrome characterized by substantial clinical heterogeneity. The urea-to-creatinine ratio (UCR) is a readily available biomarker reflecting systemic metabolic stress and renal handling; however, the prognostic value of its dynamic trajectories in sepsis remains unclear. This study aimed to identify UCR trajectory phenotypes in patients with sepsis using longitudinal data analysis and to investigate their associations with 30-day all-cause mortality.
Cryogenic energy storage enabled by dipole glass with unit-cell-level polar disorder
Abstract Cryogenic energy storage is crucial for the development of frontier nanoelectronics, including deep-space exploration (down to 90 K) and quantum computing (≤4 K). However, conventional electrochemical energy storage systems (such as secondary batteries and electrochemical capacitors) underperform at temperatures below ∼230 K due to restricted ion mobility.

Near-inertial internal waves funneled into Taylor caps shape seamount tops, with implications for biodiversity in the deep ocean
Abstract INTRODUCTION RESULTS DISCUSSION MATERIALS AND METHODS Acknowledgments Supplementary Materials REFERENCES Information & Authors Metrics & Citations View Options References Figures Tables Media Share Abstract Internal waves are energetic and ubiquitous in the ocean and their interactions with submarine topography could drive sediment resuspension and reshape seafloor substrate. However, the mechanisms governing these interactions are largely unknown.
Why Tensile Strength is Key to Safer, Cost-Effective Pallet Wrapping
In the industrial logistics, a fallen pallet creates more than a small problem. It causes expensive damage that affects safety and overall efficiency. For many years, procurement managers used a basic but faulty measure to secure their items: film weight. They thought a denser, bulkier wrap always meant a safer load. Yet, at Weide Chuangyi Packaging, we hold that real pallet security comes from how the material performs under pressure, not from its bulk.

Ultrahigh energy-storage dielectric ceramics via synergistic polymorphic nanodomain and defect design
Abstract Dielectric capacitors are critical for advanced energy storage due to their ultrahigh power density and rapid charge-discharge rates. However, their application is limited by the low energy density. Here, we design a BaTiO3-(K0.5Na0.5)NbO3-(Bi0.5Na0.5)Ti0.9Zr0.1O3 solid-solution system through synergistic polymorphic nanodomain engineering and defect optimization.
The era of “Infectious Diseases+” has arrived: multi-disciplinary integration in pediatric infectious disease prevention and control
Abstract The frequency of emerging infectious diseases have exposed the limitations of traditional response models, which are increasingly inadequate for contemporary prevention and control needs. History has repeatedly demonstrated the necessity of multi-disciplinary collaboration. Advances in multiple fields and technological revolutions now provide new tools to address these challenges.
3D hierarchically aligned nanofiber scaffolds promote cell migration for tissue regeneration - Nature Protocols
Abstract During tissue regeneration, cells are recruited from surrounding tissue to the defect site. However, when the defect site is large and morphologically complex, cell recruitment often fails to match healthy tissue morphology, resulting in a dysfunctional repair. The integration of bioscaffolds can help to direct the repair process.

1 Introduction Bladder cancer is the tenth most common malignancy worldwide and represents the most prevalent cancer of the urinary system. Its incidence shows a marked gender disparity, with men being approximately three to four times more frequently affected than women (1). According to recent global statistics, about 573,000 new cases and 213,000 related deaths occur annually.

Asymptotic Properties of Special Function Solutions of the Painlevé III Equation for Fixed Parameters
1 Introduction Painlevé equations are six nonlinear second-order ordinary differential equations. They are written in the form of u ′ ′ = R ( u ′ , u , t ) $u^{\prime \prime }=R(u^{\prime },u,t)$ with R $R$ a rational function. Their solutions have the so-called Painlevé property. This means that the locations of singularities of branching type in the complex plane do not depend on the initial conditions, but the locations of isolated singularities might depend on the initial conditions.

Agonist antibody to guanylate cyclase receptor NPR1 regulates vascular tone - Nature
Abstract Heart failure is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality1,2. Elevated intracardiac pressures and myocyte stretch in heart failure trigger the release of counter-regulatory natriuretic peptides, which act through their receptor (NPR1) to affect vasodilation, diuresis and natriuresis, lowering venous pressures and relieving venous congestion3,4,5,6,7,8. Recombinant natriuretic peptide infusions were developed to treat heart failure but have been limited by a short duration of effect9,10.

Finding conserved low‐diameter subgraphs in social and biological networks
The analysis of social and biological networks often involves modeling clusters of interest as cliques or their graph-theoretic generalizations. The k $$ k $$ -club model, which relaxes the requirement of pairwise adjacency in a clique to length-bounded paths inside the cluster, has been used to model cohesive subgroups in social networks and functional modules or complexes in biological networks.

Impact of Meteorological Factors on the Wire Icing Thickness and Growth Rate in Mountain Areas under Dry and Wet Growth Patterns
1. Introduction Electricity serves as a pivotal force that underpins the rapid and robust growth of a nation’s economy. However, wire icing events pose a significant threat to the power grids during winter, as freezing rain, fog, or wet snow adhered to the power lines would lead to a cascade of failures including tower collapse, conductor breakage, insulator flashover, and communication disruptions [1].

Clamping enables enhanced electromechanical responses in antiferroelectric thin films - Nature Materials
Abstract Thin-film materials with large electromechanical responses are fundamental enablers of next-generation micro-/nano-electromechanical applications. Conventional electromechanical materials (for example, ferroelectrics and relaxors), however, exhibit severely degraded responses when scaled down to submicrometre-thick films due to substrate constraints (clamping).
Spin disorder control of topological spin texture - Nature Communications
|
Abstract Stabilization of topological spin textures in layered magnets has the potential to drive the development of advanced low-dimensional spintronics devices. However, achieving reliable and flexible manipulation of the topological spin textures beyond skyrmion in a two-dimensional magnet system remains challenging. Here, we demonstrate the introduction of magnetic iron atoms between the van der Waals gap of a layered magnet, Fe3GaTe2, to modify local anisotropic magnetic interactions.
