Inside a Yum Brands meeting room across two days in Plano, Texas, KFC executives and franchisees tasted samples from the biggest rivals in soda—Coca-Cola and PepsiCo. The goal: to choose which company would fill beverage fountains at more than 3,000 U.S. restaurants. Pepsi will also continue to serve Taco Bell, a person familiar with the matter said. Those divisions within Yum Brands are growing faster than KFC's U.S. business.
