The biggest win of the Urban Meyer era in Jacksonville has come five years after the former head coach was unceremoniously ousted from Duval County. On Monday, it was reported first by ON3 that the Jaguars had won a $30 million wrongful termination lawsuit against their former absentee head coach after Meyer sued over Jacksonville allegedly firing him without cause. In reality – a place Meyer hardly visits – the Jaguars did have cause to fire Meyer just 13 games into his tenure with the club.

That was all pretty anticlimactic. The 2026 NFL Draft concluded Saturday, with the Jacksonville Jaguars drafting 10 players and starting in the second round for the first time ever. It was by no means the flashiest draft of all time, but one that looks to round out a roster that was a few plays away from a playoff win in the first year under new management.
