Unravelling the key factors governing O 2 evolution upon charging a reversible LiOH-based nonaqueous Li | |O 2 battery
Abstract Achieving a reversible four-electron-per-oxygen-molecule oxygen evolution reaction is an essential yet highly challenging task for nonaqueous lithium hydroxide-based Li | |O2 batteries, as the kinetically sluggish oxygen evolution reaction tends to entangle with competing parasitic reactions, whose origins and mitigating strategies remain largely elusive.
Structure-adaptive single-atom nickel catalysts for pure hydrogen peroxide electrosynthesis at industrial current density
Abstract The generation of pure hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) through two-electron oxygen reduction reaction represents a promising avenue for sustainable chemical production. However, a fundamental understanding of inevitable reconstruction of active sites during electrolysis remains elusive, hindering the development of dualable electrocatalysts. Herein, we report a structure-adaptive electrocatalyst featuring self-regulating capabilities under reaction.
Alginate cryogel beads for effectively aggregating nanoplastics for water remediation - Communications Chemistry
Abstract Nanoplastic (NP) pollution, consisting of particles smaller than 1 µm, poses a significant threat to both global ecosystems and human health. However, effective removal remains challenging due to their sub-micron size and low environmental concentrations. In this research, we discovered that an alginate cryogel can rapidly aggregate NPs (50–200 nm) into micrometer-sized clusters, enabling efficient removal via conventional membrane filtration.
