Novel Compound Heterozygous ATAD3A Variants in Harel-Yoon Syndrome With Congenital Cataracts and Dilated Cardiomyopathy
1 Introduction The ATAD3 gene cluster on chromosome 1p, which includes ATAD3A, ATAD3B, and ATAD3C, originated in hominids via segmental duplication (Li et al. 2014). Among these, ATAD3A is a nuclear gene that encodes a mitochondrial membrane protein that belongs to the AAA+ ATPase family. Functioning as a hexamer, ATAD3A spans the inner and outer mitochondrial membranes (Langer et al. 2001).
Automated multi-sequence MRI quantitative assessment and 3D visualization of acute cervical spinal cord injury
Abstract Precise evaluation of spinal cord compression and intramedullary lesions is essential for surgical decision-making in spinal cord injury (SCI). However, this process remains intrinsically subjective, frequently challenged by small lesion volumes, elongated morphology, and ambiguous boundaries, which collectively drive high inter-rater variability. We leveraged a heterogeneous multi-center MRI dataset (n = 711) to develop and validate an uncertainty-aware deep learning architecture.

Electrical feedthrough governs symmetry of phononic frequency combs in MEMS resonators
Abstract Understanding parasitic electrical feedthrough in microelectromechanical (MEMS) resonators is essential for controlling nonlinear spectral phenomena. Here, we demonstrate that electrical feedthrough fundamentally governs the symmetry of phononic frequency combs in a capacitively transduced MEMS resonator. Rather than acting as a mere measurement artifact, feedthrough forms a coherent electromechanical feedback pathway through direct AC coupling between drive and sense ports.

Atypical E2F transcription factors couple Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 to endosperm cell division and differentiation
Abstract Flowering plant endosperm and mammalian placenta represent convergent evolutionary products sharing conserved developmental programmes, embryonic nutrient transport and genomic imprinting. Polycomb Repressive Complex 2 (PRC2)-mediated H3K27me3 silencing restricts precocious tissue overproliferation in both lineages, yet the underlying molecular mechanism remains undefined.
Metabolic adaptation of a methanogen to a ferruginous environment associated with intracellular Fe- and S-rich nanoparticles
Abstract Across the great oxidation event (GOE) period, the oceans experienced a major transition from ferruginous (Fe2+-rich) to localized euxinic (HS−-rich) conditions. In ferruginous oceans, sulfur is mostly sequestered into metastable aqueous Fe-S clusters (FeSaq) and sulfide minerals like mackinawite (FeSMack). Similarly, in euxinic oceans, iron is sequestered in such clusters and/or sulfide minerals.
