The last time I used a typewriter was to apply to college over 25 years ago. I don't miss fixing stuck keys.
How is social media changing news?
The news cycle has collapsed as readers are now overwhelmed with information. Anything truly newsworthy needs to be repeated multiple times.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Social media, spreadsheets, video content, the good ol' voice recorder, & sometimes i even get to type out a story now and then...
What's your favorite social network?
Definitely Twitter. No other social network provides as much access to the high and mighty in the business world.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Between 5- 7 AM Pacific, before the rest of the day takes over.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
With my cello, out on a run, or cooking the perfect steak.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That the financial cost of technology doesn't matter. IT Cost may not be a fun topic, but it shapes so much of our present and future.
