The Democratic and Republican races for governor in Maine are both going to a ranked-choice runoff, as is the 2nd District Democratic primary. To outline what's going to happen next, Morning Edition Host Irwin Gratz spoke with Kate McBrien, the chief deputy secretary of state. Her boss, Shenna Bellows, is one of the gubernatorial candidates, so won't be directly involved. McBrien says the first step is bringing election material to Augusta.
