WILLIAMSTOWN — Locals craving their Neil Patrick Harris, their Mary Tyler Moore and their Richard Dreyfuss from Pappa Charlie’s Deli have been out of luck for months, and the reason remains unclear. The shop has been closed since March without notice, and all efforts to reach the owner, Seth Hamilton, have failed. “The town has had no contact with the owner since the mysterious closure in March of 2026,” said Williamstown Director of Community Development Andrew Groff.

Groundwater issue stalls work on Billy Evans Bridge in North Adams

NORTH ADAMS — Construction on the William "Billy" F. Evans Bridge, which runs over the Hoosic River on State Road, has been stopped while MassDOT works to treat and fix contaminated groundwater discovered during the project, according to MassDOT officials. The state highway bridge sits just past West Package and Variety in the city’s West End and is a main thoroughfare on the way to Greylock Works, Stop & Shop and northbound to Williamstown.
