GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Casey Clinger felt like he was running through a party. As the runner moved through the streets of Grand Rapids on May 10, 2025, for the Amway River Bank Run, he recalled women doing yoga on the side of the road. People played Top Gun in garages, with Kenny Loggins’ voice booming in the background. “It was just such a party,” Clinger said of last year’s race.

The West Michigan Officials Association honored Dave VanSurksum with the Carl T Paganelli lifetime achievement award. The association also announced a great new grant that will begin next year: the Don Edwards grant.
