What was your first job as a journalist?
First paid job was in Upstate New York in a tiny town called Horesheads.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes but never as a working journalist!
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
April O'Neil from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Kimberly Mitchell from Scandal.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means giving someone a voice who may not otherwise be heard. It's bringing light to a situation, incident, or topic.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Give me a call and let's talk. Give me all the details! I want to know everything. I'll figure out later what makes it into the story.

Why did you become a journalist?
We watched the news every night at dinner. Every night. I was captivated! I used to read the newspaper and children's books in a "news voice"
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not. I did host a video magazine show that aired on The County Education Channel.
