Cold front brings down temperatures over the next few days

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Well, it’s a nice and sunny afternoon across the area, and those mostly sunny skies will continue into this evening. We’ll see a few clouds around, but it’s still going to be a hot one, with temperatures climbing into the upper 90s before cooling off tonight. As we head into the overnight hours and into Sunday morning, rain chances will begin to return. I think we’ll see a few scattered showers and storms develop, but nothing too widespread.

Feeling the heat this week

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - Well, we definitely heard plenty of rumbles of thunder this morning, but thankfully all of those storms have cleared out as we’ve gone through the afternoon. Temperatures have climbed into the upper 80s and lower 90s, but it feels a little warmer once you factor in the humidity. And that humidity isn’t going anywhere anytime soon—it’s going to stick around for the next several days.

Storms linger around throughout tonight with hot and humid air returning

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) - We are tracking some storms over the next few hours, especially as we head into the evening and overnight period. Expect scattered storm coverage to continue through the night, and some lingering showers and thunderstorms could still be around by tomorrow morning. As we move into tomorrow afternoon, skies will gradually clear and temperatures will begin to heat back up.
