I think actively avoiding the sorts of war reporters portrayed in Civil War is what’s kept me alive and sane whilst reporting from the frontlines for 10 years. There are a lot of them really that reckless and pompous. This bit they got right. The film wasn’t as bad as I expected, but it bad. The lack of attention to detail was astonishing… did they literally have no war reporters on the advisory staff for this? It’s also badly shot, horribly graded, and the edit is rubbish.
