RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One Richmond tenant is voicing her frustrations on living conditions at Legacy at Imperial Village senior apartment complex. This comes as air conditioning was restored to three buildings as temperatures climbed into the mid-90s. On Monday, July 6, the air conditioning systems in all four buildings of the Legacy at Imperial Village failed, according to a press release from the city.

Richmond business owner speaks on impact of train derailment

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Richmond business owner is sharing his perspective on how Friday’s train derailment is impacting those in the surrounding area. According to city leaders, CSX crews are now working to repair a damaged track after three cars from a freight train derailed and fell from the Dock Street railway bridge into the Kanawha Canal just after 4 p.m. on Friday, July 3. CSX said the first step is to remove the corn from the submerged railcars, which is expected to take several days.
