BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - With rounds of heavy rain moving through Central Alabama, flooded roads are becoming an increasingly common sight. While many drivers focus on making it safely through the storm, auto experts warn that the damage left behind by floodwaters can continue long after skies clear. For some drivers, it happens in a matter of seconds. A road appears passable. The water does not seem too deep. A driver presses forward, believing the vehicle will make it through.
