KENNEWICK, Wash. - The site of a proposed less restrictive housing (LRA) unit in Kennewick for sexually violent predators appears to be no more. According to Save Our Children Tri-Cities (SOCT), they were contacted by the owners of the home at 5304 West 8th Avenue, who said they were ready to sell. Joe Field, the man who was set to manage the LRA home, also reached out and said he is no longer associated with the property. Field currently operates a similar establishment in Walla Walla.

FRANKLIN CO., Wash. - Sheriff Jim Raymond informed the people of Franklin County he has taken legal action against the county auditor and some of the county commissioners. Sheriff Raymond filed the papers Thursday and provided the documentation on the Franklin County Sheriff's Office Facebook page. On Friday, June 16, Sheriff Raymond stated that his purchasing card that was provided to him by the county had been suspended and that the Auditor's Office seized money from his wages.
