Nymex Overview: ULSD Rises on Russian Supply Worries, Expected Fed Rate Cut — OPIS Crude oil and diesel contracts were up at midday Friday, underpinned by concerns over reduced Russian petroleum supplies and an increasing likelihood the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates. The January NYMEX West Texas Intermediate contract was up 25cts to $59.90/bbl at about noon ET and the February WTI contract added about as much to $59.55/bbl.

Nymex Overview: Oil Prices Up as Russia-Ukraine Peace Deal Appears Stalled — OPIS Crude futures were up at midday Wednesday after five hours of talks between U.S. officials and Russian President Vladimir Putin aimed at ending the country's war with Ukraine ended without an agreement. The NYMEX January West Texas Intermediate contract was trading 58cts higher at $59.22/bbl, while the February WTI contract was up 54cts to $58.92/bbl.

Oil and refined product futures were trading higher at midday Monday on new Ukrainian attacks against Russia's energy infrastructure and Sunday's decision by OPEC and allied producers to keep current production levels in place through the first quarter of next year. The NYMEX January West Texas Intermediate contract was up 60cts to $59.20/bbl at about noon ET and the February WTI contract was 65cts higher at $58.95/bbl.
