Voters in central Alabama went to the polls Tuesday, casting their votes in over 250 elections regionwide. ABC 33/40 News has examined the results and is highlighting some of the surprises from Tuesday. Incumbent Randall Woodfin won a decisive reelection, securing 74.87% of the vote with nearly 25,000 ballots cast in his favor. His closest challenger, Lashunda Scales, finished with just under 15%. None of the remaining seven candidates managed to break 5%.
