University of Toledo President Gregory Postel will leave UT to take a position as senior vice president for health affairs and dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. The move was announced in an email Tuesday morning to members of his senior staff. Dr. Postel took over as UT’s interim president July 6, 2020, after Sharon Gaber resigned as UT president to become chancellor of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte.

Some of history's most influential African-American women visited the Ella P. Stewart Academy Wednesday for the school’s annual animated wax museum. Among the historical figures portrayed by third-grade students in the school’s gymnasium were Rosa Parks, Maya Angelou, and the school’s namesake, Ella P. Stewart.

The planned expansion to the Northwest Ohio Classical Academy is complete and just in the nick of time as the school readies itself for another increase in enrollment for the 2024-25 school year. The $10 million expansion project has expanded the school’s educational space by 15,000 square feet by adding six classrooms, an upper school dining commons, and two science labs. The addition includes new restroom facilities, support areas, and an outdoor courtyard.
