Becoming a strong hitter in the Division I ranks is incredibly difficult. Sitting near the top 50 in the country as a pitcher is even harder. Doing all of that as a freshman almost never happens. This is exactly what Missouri Softball is getting from Abby Carr, however. Carr grew up with diamond sports in her blood. Her mother, Katie, played softball in the Show Me state down at Missouri State while her father, Mike, played baseball at Pittsburgh.
