Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes! But not since I've been writing professionally.

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I was working in an industry (classical music) that was terrible at talking about itself with honesty and imagination.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Diversify, as soon as possible!
