Phase 2 trial of pTVG-HP ± pTVG-AR DNA vaccines and pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC)
A DNA vaccine encoding prostatic acid phosphatase (pTVG-HP) was previously explored in combination with PD-1 blockade in the treatment of patients with metastatic, metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC).
Effect modification of late surfactant treatment by patent ductus arteriosus status in ventilated preterm infants: a secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial
Abstract To evaluate whether the effect of late surfactant is modified by patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) status with respect to survival without bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) in ventilated infants born <28 weeks’ gestation. Secondary analysis of the Trial of Late Surfactant (TOLSURF). A formal test of interaction between PDA presence and late surfactant, with respect to survival without BPD at 36 and 40 weeks’ postmenstrual age (PMA), was performed.

In vitro detection of canine anti-human antibodies following intratumoral injection of the hu14.18-IL2 immunocytokine in spontaneous canine melanoma
Abstract Background: Canine and human malignant melanoma are naturally occurring cancers with many similarities, making the dog an important parallel patient population to study both diseases. However, development of canine anti-human antibodies (CAHA) needs to be considered when evaluating humanized biotherapeutics in dogs. Objectives: Characterize CAHA in sera from dogs with spontaneous melanoma receiving radiotherapy and intratumoral immunocytokine (IT-IC) with humanized 14.18-IL2.
1478 Phase 1/2 trial of androgen deprivation, with or without pTVG-AR, and with or without nivolumab, in patients with newly diagnosed, high-risk prostate cancer | Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer
Abstract Background We have previously evaluated a DNA vaccine encoding the ligand-binding domain of the androgen receptor (AR, pTVG-AR) in patients with metastatic prostate cancer. In murine studies we have demonstrated that the anti-tumor efficacy of androgen deprivation (ADT) can be improved using pTVG-AR vaccination, and that anti-tumor efficacy of vaccination can be improved with concurrent PD-1 blockade.
School Perceptions and Attendance for Children With Medical Complexity During COVID‐19 Over Time
Children with medical complexity (CMC) have progressive chronic conditions leading to severe functional limitations which demand high health service needs.1 The CMC population and their families experienced more negative impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic than many other populations.2-5 Severe COVID-19 disease, hospitalization, and intensive care stays were significantly more likely for CMC than non-CMC individuals early in the pandemic.3, 4, 6 Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted...

An exploratory study of distractions during the induction phase of pediatric procedural sedation with propofol
Abstract Introduction Distractions are a leading cause of disturbance to workflow during medical care. Distractions affecting the anesthetic team in the operating room are frequent and have a negative impact on patient care one-fifth of the time. The objective of this study was to evaluate the frequency, source, target, and impact of distractions during the induction phase of pediatric procedural sedation outside the operating room.
Shedding of infectious SARS-CoV-2 despite vaccination
Individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2 despite vaccination have low Ct values SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Ct values <25 had previously been associated with shedding of infectious SARS-CoV-2 [7,8]. We observed Ct values <25 in 6,253 of 9,347 fully vaccinated (67%) and 6,739 of 11,084 (61%) unvaccinated individuals (Fig 1A).
Adolescent media use, parent involvement and health outcomes: a latent class analysis approach
LCA findings The LCA revealed three distinct profile groups to describe media use, parent involvement and health outcomes in this study population. The results of the LCA by class are shown in . The first profile group (Latent Class 1) included 399 participants, 35% of the total sample. It was characterized by a higher proportion of females compared to Latent Classes 2 and 3 (55% versus 47–48%).

Thyroid Hormone Function in Small for Gestational Age Term Newborns
Abstract Objective To test the hypothesis that term small for gestational age (SGA) neonates exhibit higher thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) concentrations and an increased incidence of congenital hypothyroidism. Study design This retrospective cohort study included all term neonates screened in Wisconsin in 2015 and 2016. The cohort was divided based on SGA status, defined as birth weight percentile <10 calculated from WHO 0-2 years sex-specific growth charts.
Adolescents’ Digital Technology Interactions and Importance: Associations With Demographics and Social Media Frequency
Technology use is nearly ubiquitous and highly important to today’s adolescents. The majority of adolescents engage with digital media, approximately 45% of adolescents describe that they are ‘almost constantly’ connected.( 1 Anderson M, Jiang J. Teens, Social Media & Technology 2018. Pew Research Center: Pew Research Center; 2018 May 31, 2018. ) Understanding patterns of technology use is critical towards determining technology interactions that may be beneficial or harmful to adolescents.

Thyroid-Stimulating Hormone Reference Ranges for Preterm Infants
Abstract BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Many newborn screening (NBS) programs now perform repeat or serial NBS to detect congenital hypothyroidism. There is wide variation in thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) cutoffs used by NBS programs. Data on TSH reference ranges in preterm infants at increasing postnatal age are limited. Our study objective was to determine TSH reference ranges for preterm infants born at <32 weeks’ gestation.

BMI z-score in obese children is a poor predictor of adiposity changes over time
While BMI is a simple and widely used screening tool for obesity, its ability to assess change in body composition over time is unknown. The index provides a common foundation for comparing individuals [11], but BMI cannot differentiate between fat and muscle. Thus, BMI has utility for screening and epidemiologic research however; there are limitations and increased risk for misclassifying growing children when using BMI and BMIz alone to define overweight and obesity [7].
