Funeral held for Camar Cordero, a 17-year-old who was fatally shot getting off a school bus

A funeral was held Tuesday for Camar Cordero, a 17-year-old who was shot and killed while getting off a school bus in Harrisburg. The service took place at Dayspring Ministries in Middletown, where a viewing and celebration of life were held.The family requested that media remain outside the venue and not speak with family members. Cordero's family said he was an aspiring tattoo artist and was preparing to start his senior year at Harrisburg High School.

SAFER and Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 announce merger

Two fire companies in York County will soon become one and will share resources, personnel and equipment. Southern Area Fire and Emergency Rescue (SAFER) and Goodwill Fire Company No. 1 of Spry announced their intention to merge on Tuesday. The new organization will have more than 60 active volunteers with officials saying the two, on average, respond to more than 1,600 calls a year, serving Dallastown, Yoe, Yorkana and parts of York and Windsor Townships.

LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS SAY THE INCIDENT BEGAN WHEN ONE HOSPITAL EMPLOYEE SHOT TWO OTHER EMPLOYEES. THE SUSPECT'S IDENTITY IS KNOWN TO POLICE, WHO ARE CURRENTLY CONDUCTING A MANHUNT.
