Holistic strategies for scaling water electrolysis
Accelerating water electrolysis from laboratory advances to plant deployment requires moving beyond single-metric optimization toward system-level trade-offs that determine long-term value. Technology development should therefore start from real operating demands, translating plant challenges into scalable designs and plant-relevant validation.
Dispersion transition entropy: dual-modal feature fusion based on global attention mechanism for time series feature representation
Abstract A new entropy measure-Dispersion transition entropy (DTE) has been proposed for the analysis of complex dynamic signals in mechanical fault diagnosis. The DTE method combines the static pattern analysis of Dispersion Entropy (Normalization cumulative distribution function-based symbolic mapping) with the dynamic interval characterization of Global ordinal pattern attention entropy (GOPAE), enabling enhanced feature extraction under noisy conditions.
Systemic delivery of fluorophore-conjugated antibodies enables ex vivo fluorescence mapping of intestinal GLP-1 and GIP: a preclinical feasibility study
Abstract Bariatric surgery provides substantial weight loss and metabolic improvements in severe obesity. RYGB, DS, OAGB, and SADI-S share a mechanism of diverting nutrient flow away from the duodenum and proximal jejunum, altering gut hormone signalling and incretin responses. However, bypass length is guided largely by surgeon experience and retrospective evidence, limiting precision due to variability in individual small-bowel anatomy.
Unlocking sludge co-firing synergies between thermal power and wastewater treatment plants
Abstract Co-firing municipal wastewater treatment plant (MWWTP) sludge in thermal-fired power plants (TFPPs) offers a low-carbon circular strategy. However, its adoption is constrained by spatio-temporal supply–demand mismatches and economic feasibility. Here we show that an optimized, plant-level monthly allocation framework can overcome these barriers, powered by a high-resolution database of 5,218 MWWTPs and 1,990 TFPPs across China.

Free-space twin-field quantum key distribution
Abstract Twin-field quantum key distribution elevates the secure key rate from a linear to a square-root dependence on channel loss and preserves the measurement-device-independent security. This protocol is uniquely positioned to enable global-scale quantum networks, even under extreme channel loss.

One- and two-dimensional cluster states for topological phase simulation and measurement-based quantum computation
|
Abstract Quantum entanglement is a fundamental resource for quantum information processing and serves as a critical benchmark for quantum hardware performance. Cluster states are a special class of entangled states that serve as universal resources for measurement-based quantum computation and possess an intrinsic symmetry-protected topological order, which confers robustness against symmetry-respecting noise.

Efficient Deep Image Prior with Spatial-Channel Attention Transformer
Submitted: 11 February 2026 You are already at the latest version The Deep Image Prior(DIP) suggests that it is possible to train a randomly initialized network with a suitable architecture to solve the inverse imaging problem by simply optimizing its parameters to reconstruct a single degraded image. However, the learning effect it seeks is often achieved with the most naive local convolution, which inevitably leads to the inverse imaging problem being limited by the model’s generative ability.

Co-infusion of CD19-targeting and BCMA-targeting CAR-T cells for treatment-refractory systemic lupus erythematosus: a phase 1 trial - Nature Medicine
Abstract Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) remains refractory to conventional immunosuppression in a subset of patients. In treatment-refractory SLE, we show that peripheral CD19⁺ B cells and bone marrow CD19⁻BCMA⁺ long-lived plasma cells are dominant autoantibody sources, motivating dual CD19 and BCMA targeting.
Inhibition of DJ-1 protects from lupus onset and severity - Scientific Reports
Abstract The DJ-1 protein, known as an oxidative stress sensor, plays an important role in immunological processes. Redesigning electrification of China’s ammonia and methanol industry to balance decarbonization with power system security - Nature Energy
Abstract Electrification represents a critical pathway to decarbonize the ammonia and methanol industries by reducing fossil fuel reliance. However, a greater understanding is needed of how the spatio-temporal mismatch between renewable generation and chemical load patterns may impact on power system emissions and security. Here we assess different electrification pathways across 22 Chinese provinces from 2020 to 2050.
