I strictly enforced the anti-animal … As a mom of three little kids, I know just how expensive childcare can be. It breaks my heart to know that there are over 10,000 kids on the Arizona childcare waitlist, whose parents can’t access childcare subsidies.
My work to prevent animal cruelty in Arizona
OPINION – When I ran for Sheriff in 1992, I made many promises to the people of Maricopa County, not only protect them but also to protect the animals. I strictly enforced the anti-animal cruelty laws for all of my 24 years serving as sheriff and received many prestigious awards recognizing my fight against animal cruelty.

Misconstured
Gene Mikolajczyk, who moved from California to Fountain Hills, questioned me on the handling of a long-time source of information who worked for the CIA and was involved in many federal agencies as well as my sheriff’s office. The source was alleged to transmit some information, which turned out to be false, at which time he was fired by me. It’s noted that the source did give good information on other matters involving fraudulent criminal activity in Maricopa County, Arizona.
Eliminating dangers posed by anonymous shell companies is commonsense
Under current U.S. law, when criminal organizations want to hide their money laundering and financing activities from law enforcement officials, they have the means to do so. The result is the United States has become an international haven for rogue regimes, terrorist groups, human traffickers, drug cartels, and other dangerous enterprises who hide behind anonymous shell companies formed within our borders.
Arpaio: Eliminating the dangers posed by anonymous shell companies is commonsense
By Joe Arpaio With growing national security threats emanating from foreign adversaries like China, Russia, and Iran, as well as the increased sophistication of criminals closer to home like opioid smugglers, it is clear the status quo leaves all Americans vulnerable – Joe Arpaio Under current U.S. law, when criminal organizations want to hide their money laundering and financing activities from law enforcement officials, they have the means to do so.
Stronger borders save lives
ANALYSIS/OPINION: The recent government shutdown emphasizes how strongly President Trump believes that securing our border once and for all is essential to preserving the American way of life. This is especially true for Americans living in the southwestern states. But the illegal aliens crossing the border are not the only concern, it’s what many of them are smuggling: Fentanyl.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio: Here is How To Make a Safer and More Prosperous Society
Acts of violence, including mass shootings — like the horrible one in Las Vegas in 2017 or the workplace shooting in Illinois last month — send politicians and everyday American citizens looking for answers. My work in law enforcement for 55 years, both at the federal level and as sheriff for one of the country’s most populous counties, gave me plenty of opportunities to see that preventing crime begins first and foremost in changing hearts and minds.
Sheriff Joe: Trump Should Get Award from Congress for Border Wall Money Management
All this hand-wringing by Democrats and even some Republicans about President Donald Trump shifting money, primarily within the Defense Department, to border wall funding is all political and frankly just silly. I give Trump credit. He single-handedly made illegal immigration and border security an issue in the 2016 election.
There Is Nothing Racist About 'Make America Great Again' Hats
All this talk about people wearing “Make America Great Again” hats being racists, including the Covington Catholic High School students, is ridiculous. This is all geared to go after President Donald Trump. You had a panelist proclaiming on CNN, “I’m so triggered” by MAGA hats and saying she looks at them like a “KKK hood.” How ludicrous.
Trump's First Two Years Put Him on Path To Becoming One of Greatest Presidents
President Donald Trump has fulfilled many of his campaign promises and has every right to be proud of his accomplishments after two years in office. I supported him from day one in July 2015 at a rally in Phoenix and predicted he would be the next president then. I subsequently predicted he would go down as one of the greatest presidents in the history of the United States. When you look at the promises made and kept to date, it is a strong record.
Joe Arpaio: Politicians Too Often Forget the Connection Between Weak Borders and Drugs
There is a strong drug connection between the flow of illegal drugs coming into the U.S. and our weak southern border that politicians like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and others seem to ignore. That is why I appreciate President Donald Trump putting the issue front and center in the current debate over funding a border wall.
Losing the drug war to foreign smugglers
ANALYSIS/OPINION: For years this country has been too lenient on border security. The war on drugs is an ongoing battle that we are losing to foreign smugglers attempting to distribute harmful synthetic opioids far and wide. It is high time to tighten up border security by empowering law enforcement in order to safeguard American citizens from the danger of being trafficked in through our own mail system.
It's Time To Let Politicians Know We're 'Mad As Hell' That Our Border Is Not Secure
Remember that old 1976 film “Network” when a news anchor pronounces on-air, “I’m as mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this anymore”? That comes to mind when I think about President Donald Trump’s worthy fight with Democrats to get funding to secure our southern border. He has called it a matter of national security, and it is, particularly in relation to drug trafficking and the gang activity associated with it.
Joe Arpaio: I Want To Honor My Wife for Being a Great Partner in (Fighting) Crime
My wife, Ava, and I are celebrating our 61st wedding anniversary Saturday, and I just want to honor her and really all spouses of those who have served in law enforcement. We have had quite a ride that took from our first meeting on a blind date in Washington, D.C., in the 1950s, to marrying in Chicago, to moving our young family to Turkey and later Mexico, and ultimately landing in Arizona, which we have called home since 1978.
CNN & Others Hit With $300M Defamation Suit By Joe Arpaio; Claims Senate Bid In Peril Over “Felon” Comments
It’s starting to feel a lot like that Joe Arpaio likes to sue media outlets almost as much as he liked violating the constitutional rights of the detained when he was the much-spotlighted sheriff of Arizona’s Maricopa County for 24 years.
This Is Exactly Why Donald Trump Is Fighting Against the 'Fake News Media'
As you’ve no doubt heard by now, President Donald Trump released an ad leading up to the 2018 midterms vilifying Luis Bracamontes, the illegal alien convicted of killing two sheriff’s deputies in California in 2014. Bracamontes is a monster and an example of the worst type of person the Democrats seem so willing to allow into this country. That goes without saying.
Cop Killer In Trump’s Racist Campaign Ad Was Released By Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Bracamontes, who is now on death row at San Quentin State Prison for the October 2014 slayings of Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputy Danny Oliver and Placer County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Davis Jr., first came into the United States in 1993, when he was 16 and Democrat Bill Clinton was president. … The Maricopa County (Ariz.) Sheriff’s Office has told The Sacramento Bee previously that he was first arrested in Phoenix in 1996. Prosecutors in Phoenix say he was arrested Sept.
Joe Arpaio: I Love Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream. I Can No Longer Support Them.
Known as “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Joe Arpaio had a long and decorated career in law enforcement before being elected sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, in 1992. He is now a Special Contributor to The Western Journal. Cherry Garcia. Chunky Monkey. Phish Food. These are just some of the flavors that Ben & Jerry’s fans have grown to love over the years. And why shouldn’t they? It’s good ice cream. For years, I’ve considered myself a fan of their ice cream. That is officially no longer the case.
Joe Arpaio: The War on Cops Needs To End
Known as “America’s Toughest Sheriff,” Joe Arpaio had a long and decorated career in law enforcement before being elected sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona, in 1992. He is now a Special Contributor to The Western Journal. I began my law enforcement career as a bright-eyed 21-year-old in 1957. I worked a tough D.C. beat back then. Suffice to say, it was a tough job. I never shot anyone during my time in Washington, but I had to be very aggressive in my job.
Flake Isn't Principled. He Only Wants To Embarrass Donald Trump
When does “yes” really mean “no”? I found myself asking that question Friday while watching the Senate Judiciary Committee vote on whether to recommend the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. I will readily admit that I was as surprised as anyone when Arizona Republican Sen. Jeff Flake committed Friday morning to support Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Defeated Sheriff Joe Arpaio Has No Regrets on Immigration Crackdowns
The outgoing sheriff of metro Phoenix says he was saddened by his defeat after 24 years in office, but expressed no regrets about launching dozens of immigration crackdowns that made him a national political figure but ultimately led to his downfall. Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Friday he has been humbled by calls from supporters who bemoaned his loss Tuesday to Paul Penzone, a little-known retired Phoenix police sergeant. “I am not going to say I let them down,” Arpaio told The Associated Press.
Is Joe Arpaio The Next Roy Moore?
Last year, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who was defeated in his last bid for reelection in 2016, was pardoned by President Trump in connection with his conviction for criminal contempt of court because of his refusal to comply with several court orders regarding the operation of his office, law enforcement, and the operation of the jails her oversaw while Sheriff.

Five Killed as Mud Sweeps Away Homes in California Burn Areas
LOS ANGELES (AP) – At least five people were killed and homes were swept from their foundations Tuesday as heavy rain sent mud and boulders sliding down hills stripped of vegetation by Southern California’s recent wildfires. What Trump sees in Arpaio – The Moderate Voice
WASHINGTON — President Trump has united us, after all. He brought together the Rev. Al Sharpton and the Jews. This modern-day miracle was on display Monday, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial on the Mall, 54 years to the day after the great man gave his greatest speech. There, clergy of all varieties, but mostly rabbis and black ministers, came together in common cause against the despicable anti-Semitism and racism Trump has unleashed, most conspicuously in Charlottesville.

Giving Racism A Pass: The Arpaio Pardon – The Moderate Voice
Shall we begin with some rational discourse? Despite rabid chattering from the left, granting a pardon to former, now disgraced and un-reelected Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is not an impeachable offense. The President can pardon whomsoever he wishes, with or without prior review by the Department of Justice or review by Congress or review by you or me or anyone else. Nor is he prohibited from pardoning those not yet sentenced or before sentence is served or partly served.
