Private Investment in Conservation: How Landowners Shape the Future of the American West
Confluence Land Company was founded with the fundamental understanding that private landowners are the silent leaders of Western conservation. Across the American West, about half of all land is privately owned, a statistic often overshadowed when conservation debates generally focus on public lands.
Another quotebook
Over the past three-and-a-half years, I have been amassing quotes from the Notre Dame community and beyond. As I prepare to leave this university, I would like to present a second iteration of what college has given me. I present to you: “Tobacco increases the risk of blah, blah, blah, blah.” “I believe that the dining hall ice cream (vanilla specifically) induced cystic fibrosis within me.” “You ever call me that again, I’ll break your arm.” — [redacted], on antidisestablishmentarianism.
The DMV: Humanity’s greatest crime against itself
The average person thinks the Department of Motor Vehicles is just a government office that deals with vehicle licenses and registrations. This is how they hide. This is how they maintain control. The world doesn’t understand that the DMV is not a department at all. It is the headquarters of a shadowy syndicate that attempts to dictate history and control human behavior. Presidents, senators and billionaires all answer to the DMV.

ND Dining weaponizes Lent with fake meat
The Thursday before break, Notre Dame showcased its new steak-free culinary option at South Dining Hall. The food-like substance was advertised as “Cow-Free Steak,” a 100% plant-based meat option with only six ingredients and 28 grams of protein per serving. It was then later disclosed that this vegan meat option would be regularly distributed for lunch and dinner upon our return from Spring Break.
Notre Dame dining hall mushroom meat faces opposition
I would like to start this article off by congratulating my best friend, who is British, yet ironically abroad in London right now, for completing the Hesburgh Challenge last semester. Beer has been beaten! Now, to the topic at hand: To conceal my rage, I have written this entire article in a Bostonian accent, so as to conceal my rage, concerning this specific issue on campus.

Between two shamrocks: quacking with two ducks
Posted below is the transcript recorded from my interview with two local insurrectionist ducklings on yet another episode of “Between Two Shamrocks.” J. Rudolph, Esq: Gentlemen, tell us your story. Hawk: A specter is haunting America — the specter of ducks. We have borne witness to the new dawn of the revolutionary animal, the raging inclemency emerging from the gaudy horizon of a once stable farm.
Hogs leave Notre Dame in ruin
Marcus Freeman, driven by his love for Notre Dame University, was determined to protect the campus from an unexpected threat. Rumors had spread of an army of feral hogs rapidly approaching South Bend, Indiana, ready to demolish the iconic University. The feral hogs, born with the fury of descending angels, built with tusks of steel and hooves of iron, were claimed to have inundated much of the Midwest already.
Joe Rudolph Esq. takes on “Big Food”
If you live in the United States of America, you make a lot of sacrifices. You pay taxes, respect government authority, drink whole instead of raw milk — all things you wouldn’t want to do yourself if American culture wasn’t the way it was. But there’s another buy-in for living in the U.S. When you live here, you sacrifice your God-given right to eat food that won’t poison you.
The quotebook
For the past two years at Notre Dame, I have been diligently recording everything that both my friends and myself have spoken. I now have the ability to get everyone who knows me canceled, and so I’d like to share some of my work with you today.
ND students favor Fr. Kevin Grove for president of the United States, new poll finds
As the upcoming election approaches, tensions have been growing across the country. Some families are struggling to have a polite discussion about political differences around the dinner table. People are unable to convey their beliefs to their friends without creating division. One presidential candidate has been unfairly called every name in the book. The other has been shot at by the CIA. The political division at Notre Dame, however, has not lived up to the hype.
The balance sheet of the CIA
A balance sheet is a statement of assets, liabilities and the capital of a business. To put it simply, a balance sheet reveals a company’s levels of cash, debt and equity. Here’s how it works: Assets = liabilities + shareholder’s equity. Any journal entry must ensure that this equation balances out. Debits record what comes into the entity. Credits record what goes out or what the entity owes. Balance sheets exist so investors can see the financials of a company.
Pizza bagels divide Alumni, inciting rebellion
This past Sunday, Alumni Hall opened its iconic restaurant Dawg Pizza for the first time this academic year. They are known for serving Michelin star pizza bagels, a culinary craft worthy of a million laurels and high praises! The rollout was stunted, however, by an ongoing revolution caused by higher prices. Dawg Pizza manager and Alumni Hall senior Thaddeus Lipinski announced the service’s new partnership with a student startup called CARI. This is an online card processing company.
McGlinn misconduct mars women’s intramural football
Football season, along with a serious rise in alcohol-related car accidents, has begun once again! Hurray! Football weekends are a time for all of us to fill our bellies, spill them in the parking lot and enjoy Riley Leonard’s reign at Notre Dame. But what does campus do during the weekdays? Study?
The agenda of replacing the Rock’s weights
What capitalism once stood for has vanished. What once was a collection of independently-minded thinkers and workers pursuing a shared mission of affluence and security has been thoroughly vanquished by the powers which reign supreme in this nation. Those with power and wealth have reached their position through exploitative means — they cheated, they lied, did whatever necessary to crush their opponents and adversaries.

American bank failures spark fear, government intervention
Within the past month, two American bank failures have sent shockwaves through the banking industry. These failures triggered rapid government intervention and a heightened fear of more bank failures. In early March, Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), located in Santa Clara, California, failed after a bank run caused it to liquidate assets that it didn’t have. When banks receive deposits, they typically loan out that money with interest in order to generate income.
