The Clay City Eels had their five-year sectional softball championship streak snapped on Wednesday evening, as a fired-up and hard-hitting flock of Bloomfield Cardinals pounded out 16 hits on their way to a 13-5 win. The Cardinals (15-10) will now play at top-ranked Barr-Reeve, winners of the North Daviess Sectional, on Tuesday in regional action. No. 7-ranked Clay City ended its season at 18-9.
