CROMWELL, Conn. (WFSB) - PGA Tour Commissioner Brian Rolapp announced changes to the tour during Travelers Championship week at TPC River Highlands. The announcement came as excitement builds for the tournament, with the pros set to tee off Thursday. Tiger Woods was also in Cromwell as chairman of the PGA Tour’s future competition committee. Woods, who has never played in the Travelers Championship, was there to introduce Rolapp. It is his first public appearance since his DUI arrestin March.

STORRS, CT. (WFSB) - The UConn men’s basketball team is two weeks into summer practice, preparing for next season after falling one win short of a championship in the national title game in April. Coach Dan Hurley said the team could have the best backcourt in the country with returning players and All-American Braylon Mullins. However, this year’s roster is the youngest since Hurley took over the program.

HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - Geno Auriemma’s annual charity golf tournament raised $1 million this year for the Connecticut Children’s Foundation. The event, called Geno for the Kids, was held at the Hartford Golf Club. The tournament raised $20,000 in its first year. Auriemma’s commitment drew other UConn coaches to participate, including hockey coach Mike Cavanaugh and football coach Jason Candle.
