More than monsters: Volunteers at Niles Scream Park build community, give back through fear
NILES, Mich. (WNDU) - At Niles Scream Park, fear is an art form. Every night, hundreds of volunteers slip into costumes, step into the shadows, and spend hours making strangers scream. But behind the monsters is a community that comes back year after year, where the spooky spirit comes alive every fall. Like Whodini says — “the freaks come out at night.” When the sun goes down, the 44 acres at Niles Scream Park shed their skin. The dead rise. The clowns come out. The screams begin.
