A new Star Wars movie is back in theaters for the first time in nearly seven years, since “The Rise of Skywalker” landed in 2019. And this weekend, Michiana fans didn’t just go to the movies, they went to a galaxy far, far away.

(WNDU) - Two very different movies arrive in theaters this weekend, with Warner Bros. Pictures betting on a gothic, genre-blending reimagining of a classic monster tale and Disney and Pixar rolling out an original animated adventure built around a high-tech body swap. Maggie Gyllenhaal writes and directs “The Bride!,” which opens March 6. The film plants its Frankenstein story in 1930s Chicago, where a lonely Frankenstein seeks out Dr. Euphronius to help create a companion.
