Did not crack 40 today, no surprise, we started out in the single digits most locations. Snowpack didn't help with the warming either...reflecting the energy from the sun. Warmer weather expected this weekend.
Bitter cold start to the day, and with the snow on the ground most of the region, we didn't warm up all that much this afternoon. Should be milder this weekend.
Drought Monitor has been updated for the week. Little change since last week, still Moderate Drought east of the Blue Ridge, Abnormally Dry west. Snow may have helped the water table some yesterday, but was not reflected yet in this weeks update.
Possible Black Ice tonight and Friday morning. Packed snow and ice will be fairly common in the region, please take it slow on area roads. Warming and melting Friday may lead to some more icing issues Saturday morning.
Good looking Shot. Just felt like sharing. Cold night ahead with some patchy ice tonight.
