Arcadia Exhibitions Launches the “Student Biennial 2024”

Arcadia Exhibitions has launched the tenth edition of the Student Biennial featuring works by current students. The exhibition, which will be displayed in Harrison Gallery through Feb. 18, is a gallery of 36 pieces of art from 30 different student artists selected by an outside juror. Any Arcadia student who was registered for classes during the fall 2023 semester was eligible to submit up to three works for consideration.

Arcadia Student Ceramicists Craft Plateware for Korean Exhibit at Philadelphia Museum of Art

Students from Arcadia University’s ceramics studio created plateware for the Philadelphia Museum of Art’s Stir Restaurant that will be used as part of an exhibit called “The Shape of Time: Korean Art After 1989.” The exhibit highlighted the “hyper-development” of South Korea after the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. “For most Koreans, the Olympics were the turning point,” said Hoon Rhee, executive chef at Stir who helped the students design the plateware.

Arcadia Students and Faculty Creating New Mural for Cheltenham High School

Students and faculty in Arcadia Public Art, in conjunction with resident artist Amir Campbell, are creating a new mural for Cheltenham High School. The mural will reflect the diversity of students, faculty, and staff at the high school and incorporate elements of the long and proud tradition of the Panthers.
