John Kendall Hawkins is an American ex-pat freelancer based in Australia. He is a former reporter for The New Bedford Standard-Times, and a former columnist for the Prague Post. His poetry has won multiple awards, including the Academy of Ameican Poets prize in 1984 and tye Deakin Literary Award in 1998.

Seymour Hersh reported yesterday that the White House has an operational plan for November, and that the plan does not depend on persuading anyone. The man running it, according to Hersh, is Stephen Miller, whose assignment is to keep Democrats from taking Senate seats in a short list of contested states: Alaska, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas. The method has nothing to do with rooting out fraud.
