FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — A pet pig named “Big Mama” is safe after neighbors helped rescue it from a backyard during a garage fire in central Fresno, according to the Fresno Fire Department. Firefighters responded just after 10:30 a.m. Thursday to the 2700 block of East Madison Avenue after receiving multiple reports of a fire. Crews said when they arrived, they found a detached garage engulfed in flames.

Hwy 33 closed after tanker overturns in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A tanker truck overturned on Highway 33 in Fresno County early Thursday morning, spilling about 1,000 gallons of fertilizer and forcing a full highway closure, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said officers responded around 6:12 a.m. to northbound Highway 33, just north of Manning Avenue, after receiving reports of an overturned truck tractor pulling a tanker trailer.

Visalia 5 Kingz Smoke Shop robbed of $6K in lottery tickets

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Two men stole about $6,000 worth of lottery tickets during an armed robbery at 5 Kingz Smoke Shop in Visalia, according to the Visalia Police Department. Police said officers responded around 8:40 p.m. to the smoke shop on North Ben Maddox Way after receiving a report of an armed robbery. The two suspects entered the business, stole the lottery tickets and fled before officers arrived, police said. The Visalia Police Department’s Property Crimes Unit is investigating.
